Spectrabilities

Spectrabilities

Active Attitude is excited to announce that we are the first provider in New Zealand to hold a license to run Sprectrabilities programs.  Our team are currently in the process of engaging in Spectrabilities training and will begin teaching these programs in February 2023.

Spectrabilities programs cater for neurodiverse children, teens and adults, through the use of gymnastics to target social-emotional development; nurture social skills; improve communication and confidence through movement and play.

Neurodiversity is a societal concept which acknowledges that all individuals have differences in cognition, brain development and abilities.

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorders
  • Down Syndrome
  • Intellectual Disabilities
  • Genetic Disorders
  • Developmental Delays

The Spectrabilities program provides complementary benefits within current therapy models (Speech, OT & ABA) and we are happy to work alongside each family's therapy teams upon request.

Our aim is to offer a premium-level service which provides an inclusive, safe and encouraging experience for all abilities and assist our learners with achieving their own personal goals.  We believe in the significant role of movement and play for learning new skills and developing social communication.

If you would like to book a place for your child or someone in your care into one of our Spectrabilities programs, please e-mail admin@activeattitude.co.nz if you would like us to send you further information or alternativity, book in for a complimentary assessment.

We have private lessons and small group lessons (maximum of 4 participants) available.
